This episode explores the history of Roblin Mills, originally a 200 acre settlement with fur trading post on the shores of Green Point, now Ameliasburgh, PEC. Developed and owned by Phililp Roblin in 1876, some of the land and the house were later acquired and restored in 1968.

The series was funded by the New Horizons for Seniors Program, Government of Canada, and sponsored by Base31. This episode explores the life of Dr. Oronhyatekha or Burning Cloud as he was known in Mohawk. Dr. Oronhyatekha was the first known aboriginal scholar at Oxford University. He was a physician, successful CEO, statesman, athlete and champion of minority rights in the mid to late 1800s.

Outsmarting the Scammers – Helping Seniors Fight Fraud, Radio Documentary, Episode 6, 2024 99.3 County FM presented the Six-Part Radio Documentary: Outsmarting the Scammers – Helping Seniors Fight Fraud, February 8th through March 14th 2024. Broadcast as part of Grapevine Magazine, this series provides public education about fraud prevention, with a focus on a wide variety of scams against seniors.
The documentary was created in partnership with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the OPP, The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association, and the Municipality of the County of Prince Edward, County FM.
The series, narrated by Wendy Mesley, each week explores a common type of scam, presents compelling experiences from victims and their families, and provides tips for prevention. Some names of those interviewed have been changed at their request.
